Xtreme Racing Center in Pigeon Forge offers professional-grade European racing karts at speeds up to 40 mph — a rare find outside of actual racing circuits
Pigeon Forge is better known for pancake houses and Dollywood than competitive motorsport. But tucked along the city's main strip is a go-kart facility that has more in common with a racing circuit than a boardwalk amusement ride.
Xtreme Racing Center, located at 3144 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, runs Sodi racing karts imported from Europe — the same RT8 and GT5 models used in professional karting competitions. The RT8 tops out at 40 mph, with hydraulic braking and handling that sets it apart from the underpowered karts typical of most family entertainment venues.
Three Tracks, Three Experiences
The facility offers three distinct courses, each designed for a different kind of driver.

A Reverse Track option runs the same course in the opposite direction as part of a “Combo Run,” with starting positions determined by your previous finishing order — adding a strategic layer for those who want more than just speed.
For visitors who want a less intense but still engaging experience, the Elevated Track offers a 1,500-foot smooth paved course with twists and turns. It also accommodates double karts, allowing children as young as three to ride along as passengers.
Drivers on the high-speed karts must be at least 11 years old and 56 inches tall.
The Competitive Edge
What separates Xtreme Racing Center from most regional attractions is its emphasis on actual performance data. After each race, drivers receive a full track report with recorded lap times, making it easy to measure improvement or settle friendly rivalries with hard numbers.
The facility is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM on weekdays, with extended hours until 11 PM or midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. It is also included in the Dubby's Park Hopper Band, a multi-attraction package that covers several nearby venues including LazerPort and SpeedZone.
Worth the Drive from Nashville
At roughly three hours from Nashville, Xtreme Racing Center sits well within range for a day trip into the Smokies. For visitors looking to go beyond the typical tourist trail in Pigeon Forge, it offers something genuinely difficult to find in the region: a competitive, equipment-driven racing experience that doesn't require a racing license to enjoy.
