Planning a trip to Nashville? You'll want to know about these dates.
WKRN News 2 Nashville just released a breakdown of the city's busiest hotel weekends in 2025, and the numbers are eye-opening. If you're trying to visit Nashville on a budget — or just avoid massive crowds — this is the information you need.
The Busiest Weekend of the Year
October 17th and 18th took the top spot, with a staggering 91.5% of Nashville's hotel rooms booked. That's about 77,400 hotel rooms filled in a single weekend, according to data from the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp.
So what made this weekend so crazy? It was the perfect storm of events. Vanderbilt football hosted LSU, the Titans played the Patriots, and Keith Urban performed a show. Three major events happening at once means hotel rooms disappear fast — and prices go up even faster.
Second Place Was Nearly As Packed
The second busiest weekend was only about 400 hotel rooms behind the winner. October 10th and 11th saw Tyler Childers playing a concert at GEODIS Park, plus multiple conventions happening throughout the city.
When you've got a big-name artist plus convention crowds, you're looking at another weekend where finding an affordable hotel room becomes a real challenge.

March 28th and 29th came in at number three. This was spring break weekend, and on top of all those families visiting Nashville, there were conventions in town too.
Spring break is already a busy time for Nashville, but throw in business travelers and convention attendees? You're going to see higher prices and fewer options.

Where CMA Fest Ranked
You might think CMA Fest would be the absolute busiest weekend in Nashville. After all, it brings visitors from around the world to Music City.
But CMA Fest actually came in at number seven, filling about 85.3% of available hotel rooms. Still incredibly busy, but not quite as packed as those October weekends.
The Top 10 Are All Pretty Close
Here's something interesting — all of the weekends in the top 10 have numbers that are very close together. So while October 17-18 technically won the crown for busiest weekend, the difference between number one and number ten isn't huge.
What does this mean for you? If you're looking at any of these top 10 weekends, expect similar crowds and similar pricing. They're all going to be busy, expensive times to visit Nashville.
What This Means for Your Trip
If you're flexible with your travel dates, avoiding these peak weekends could save you money. Hotel prices in Nashville can swing wildly depending on what's happening in the city.
And if you do need to visit during one of these busy weekends? Book early. Really early. The closer you get to the dates, the higher the prices climb and the fewer rooms you'll find available.
Sometimes you can't avoid the crowds — maybe you're coming for one of these specific events. But at least now you know what you're getting into, and you can plan (and budget) for it.
