1. Bourbon Sky

Tip: Reserve a window seat in advance to enjoy the breathtaking skyline views, and don't miss their expertly crafted Espresso Martini or the decadent truffle fries paired with a prime steak!

Bourbon Sky is one of its kind. An amazing view is created on the 34th floor, which overlooks the city, so it's the perfect atmosphere for the evening. The cocktail menu is fantastic, and the Espresso Martinis and Old Fashioneds prepared with great skill were very well received by our group.

Geoff, our server, indeed made us feel special, along with complimentary champagne for our anniversary. However, the steaks were perfectly cooked medium-rare, just melting in my mouth, and that truffle mac and cheese—pure decadence.

Don't miss the truffle fries or lobster pot pie flight—Chef Michael Mina knows his way around an elevated flavor or two. Whether you are toasting a special occasion or simply soaking in date night, Bourbon Sky awaits for sipping, savoring, and enjoying the Nashville skyline. Make a reservation well in advance, or snag a cancellation, and let the city lights and cocktails sweep you away!

2. Playdate

Tip: Snag a table outside to enjoy the lively vibe, and don't miss pairing their strong drinks like the spicy margarita with a side of waffle fries and Brussels sprouts for a tasty treat!

Play Date Bar & Restaurant is a refreshing new addition to Nashville's 12 South neighborhood. With a spacious outdoor seating area covered in astroturf, it's the perfect spot to unwind. I loved the quirky neon details and the large outdoor bar out back.

The vibe? Immaculate. Kids are sliding and playing, while adults enjoy strong drinks and eclectic music. I couldn't get enough of the poke bowl or the candied bacon—Ricky nailed it in the kitchen. Gracie, our server, was super attentive and friendly.

Play Date Bar & Restaurant's cocktail menu is a hit among visitors. Their spicy margarita is a crowd favorite, packing a punch with just the right amount of heat. The “Sweet Like Honey” cocktail is a popular choice, but it's best when made with a perfect balance of honey and lime juice.

The “Espresso Yourself” drink delivers a rich coffee flavor that pairs well with its vanilla bean notes. And let's not forget their frozen drinks—they are especially refreshing, though the slushy machine isn't always up and running.
