So many people think that going to Nashville means going to celebrity bars, wearing cowboy boots, and listening to country music, but there are some things that nobody talks about.
If you have yet to embark on your Nashville vacation, there's something you need to know before you leave.
One TikToker revealed the 5 things you shouldn't learn the hard way in Nashville!
1. Hot Chicken Sandwiches ARE HOT!
Don't get me wrong—they are delicious, but beware! Just because you're in Nashville doesn't mean you have to burn a hole in your esophagus. There's also usually a line that can sometimes cause a wait of one hour or more. Feel free to skip if you're not into super hot foods like me.
The TikToker says, “Hot chicken sandwiches are no joke. Hot definitely means hot.”
2. The Liquor Laws in Nashville Are Confusing
Yes, you can walk the streets with a beer, but it must be in a paper or plastic cup. It is against the law in Nashville to walk the streets with an alcoholic drink in a glass, aluminum, or metal container. If, however, you are walking back to your hotel or home with unopened alcohol that you bought from the store, that is fine since it’s still commercially sealed.
The TikToker says, “they seem strict but also loose? You can drink in the vehicle as a passenger (not the driver) but everyone has to be ID'd regardless of age“.
3. After 3 pm, Broadway Turns into a Parade of Bachelorette Parties.
Nashville is experiencing a hilarious and somewhat quirky takeover by bachelorette parties, with a local bakery hilariously admitting they've baked “so many penis cookies” that they might relocate just for a break! The city is alive with playful banter about ‘dickerdoodles' and ‘penes,' all while party buses and pedal taverns roll through town. From downtown honky-tonks to East Nashville’s quirky food spots, it seems no area is spared from the ‘woo' girls in tiny jean skirts and cowboy boots. Despite the chaos, there's a certain charm to it all, making Music City a uniquely vibrant and entertaining destination for visitors.
4. The Best Time to Visit Broadway is 10 am.
Most people don't realize that the honky tonks and bars on Broadway open at 10 am. This is your chance to avoid crowds and drunk people. You get a chance to really enjoy the skilled musicians!
The TikToker says “the bands are incredible and you can actually sit to enjoy them”.
The Smoky Mountains are Incredible and Worth the Drive
Just three hours east of Nashville are the Great Smoky Mountains. Within reach are Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge – both amazing holiday destinations.
The TikToker says, “They're beautiful and the “smoke” is actually just a fog created by the trees”.
