I asked Nashville visitors and locals what's actually worth waiting in line for — and their answers might surprise you.
Breakfast Spots Lead The Pack
Pancake Pantry got mentioned more than almost anything else. People say it's a must, even with the wait.
Biscuit Love came up repeatedly too. One person specifically called it out alongside The Bluebird as worth your time.
Buttermilk Ranch on Church Street made the list multiple times. Locals say the breakfast is worth standing around for.
Monell's in Germantown also got several mentions. It's the kind of place where people say “just wait, you'll see.”

Hot Chicken (Obviously)
Hattie B's came up constantly. Multiple people said it's worth the line.
Prince's Hot Chicken got a shout-out from someone who clearly knows their Nashville hot chicken history. 400 Degrees also made the list.
One person mentioned Red's, though hot chicken fans tend to have strong opinions about which spot is actually worth the wait.

The Ryman topped the list for live music. Several people said it's a must-see venue, even if you're waiting to get in.
The Bluebird Cafe got multiple mentions. It's small, it's intimate, and apparently it's worth planning ahead for.
Station Inn came up for those looking for something more low-key and authentic.
Roberts Western World made the list too — it's one of the spots locals still recommend.

Bars With A View
Category 10's rooftop got a specific mention. Someone said the rooftop and dance floor are worth it, plus you're away from the major Broadway crowds.
Kid Rock's bar came up a few times, though opinions on the celebrity-branded bars tend to be mixed.

The Outliers
One person said the Grand Ole Opry. Makes sense — it's literally the reason Nashville became Music City.
Mike's Ice Cream got a mention. Sometimes you just want ice cream and you're willing to wait for good ice cream.
Multiple people joked about the bathroom being worth the wait. They're not wrong — finding a clean bathroom on Broadway can be its own adventure.
The Honest Answer
One person said “absolutely nothing” is worth the wait. Another pointed out there are two dozen more places just like any popular spot, without the line.
That's probably the most useful Nashville advice: if there's a massive line, there's likely a similar place around the corner with no wait at all.
